Love me some aliens!

The story begins with our hero's (Diviak) ship is forced to stop outside in earths atmosphere. They were on a mission to rescue their kidnapped princess. Then we meet our heroine (jasmine) who has major self esteem issues stemming from an A-hole ex-boyfriend. The two meet and its insta-love!
I really enjoy the whole fated mate/insta-love thing and this was no different. There was some funny parts and I thought the sexy times were just right. The alien language was a bit confusing at times and toward the end I was annoyed with the heroines reluctance to join the hero. That's probably because he was just so sweet and swoon worthy that I just didn't understand how someone could say no to him.
This book centered on one couple and could technically be a stand alone but the original problem isn't resolved and looks like it will continue throughout other books. Keeping one continuous story but also focusing on a different couple every book. I am anxious to see where this story goes!

Captured by the Alien Savage, by Marina Maddix & Flora Dare was a freebie on Amazon. I've had it for a couple months, but I picked it up and read now it because I recently noticed that all the alien romances seem to feature blue aliens. On a lark I did a quick google search and came up with more than 50 of them. I even wrote a half joking blog post about it. I ended that post with the question, "...where’s my chartreuse alien, or mauve, or red?" Well, given that two days later I happened across a, I kid you not, pink alien romance in my TBR, I had to read it.
I think...no, I'm fairly sure that this MUST be parody. And as parody it's pretty good. It's hilarious even. I mean he's a hot pink (occasionally flushing to purple) alien stud who features a penis, with a retractable carapace, that when unleashed swells in the middle, vibrates AND GYRATES. They fuel their ship on diet coke and have to return home quickly or they'll all go into a mating frenzy and kill each other. It's like all the normal alien erotica tropes on steroids. As parody I call it a success. If someone wrote this to be serious....um, sorry.

Uncomplicated but mostly enjoyable.

I wouldn't call this alien hero a savage, because he's pretty sweet and caring. Hot pink skin color, long purple hair, and maybe it's his loin cloth that causes 'savage' to be in the book title. The human h is a BBW in her early twenties, working in the mall, and here comes hot pink Tarzan on Halloween of all nights! I thought this set up was cute, and I liked how the H fit in with others who were wearing costumes. You get his POV and some funny thoughts of what's going on around him.
It's very insta-lust and insta-love for h/H, fated mates destined to find each other. Cute, fluffy alien romance with some sex. Doesn't end in a cliffhanger for this couple, but it does leave loose threads for the next book's couple to pick up.
